Employee City for the PKN Orlen project – a Modular System project implemented with our Partners
Construction of Employee City in Olefiny III in Płock
The Employee City was designed and built on an area of 7.8 ha, part of the Olefiny III complex owned by PKN Orlen in Płock. This strategic location provides convenient access to workplaces for the employees who work at that industrial complex.
To built it, we used 2,500 modern modular containers spread over an impressive area of 37,000 sq.m.
As part of the project, we provided the necessary modular space for the security, police and administration. The employees also have access to a modern launderette and will soon be able to use a basketball court and a cricket field.
The modular systems we have delivered were used to build as many as 4 canteens with full kitchen facilities that can accommodate up to 2,000 people at a time. This way, each employee is provided with round-the-clock meals in a convenient canteen.
Modular System modular containers are also used as service buildings, such as the autonomous pressure boosting station and wastewater lifting plant that provide access to clean water and dispose of waste. A system of modern generators was built to provide electricity on the site.
Modular spaces used as temporary homes for employees are the key element of the Employee City. We built a total of 14 residential buildings that can accommodate up to 6,000 people. Each building was carefully designed and furnished to meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.
The project was completed over an impressive time of 5 months.
Benefits of using modular containers
Modular containers used in such projects bring numerous benefits.
First, they guarantee fast assembly and full flexibility of applications. Modular System modular spaces make customisation of each building to specific needs and requirements easy. The modules are factory-made, which means that preparatory work can be carried out at the same time on the site. This considerably shortens the build time and makes the containers for use much faster.
Modular systems offer considerable design flexibility and customisation to individual needs. Each module can be configured and connected with other containers in various ways, thus producing unique, highly-functional systems.
The modules are also fully mobile and scalable. Container structures can be easily moved from one place to another and if more space is required in the future, they can be easily expanded by adding extra modules.
The use of modular containers in the industrial construction sector brings numerous economic benefits as well. Shorter lead times, precise planning and production under controlled conditions and full cost monitoring make the development of modular spaces cheaper than traditional construction.
At Modular System, we pay a great deal of attention to the high quality and comprehensive functionality of the sites we create. Our containers are made of durable and heavy-duty materials which guarantee that the structure is solid. All buildings come with complete furniture, including electrical wiring, plumbing, air-conditioning systems and modern interior design.
