Modular System builds a modern modular town in Ireland
Mullingar, Westmeath County, Ireland – this is where Modular System has built another modular town that will soon welcome its first residents. This is a unique project – even though it is not the first European modular town of Modular System – and it sets trends in the development of modular housing systems.
A modular town in Ireland
The modern modular town in Mullingar was built exclusively using modular systems. On an area of 4 ha, we set up 77 houses containing spacious apartments with a size of 43 to 58 m². All homes are suitable for families with children, and some are also suitable for disabled persons.
Each apartment consists of a living room, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a fully furnished kitchenette and it has been furnished to high specifications.
All buildings meet the Irish requirements concerning thermal insulation and fire safety and are intended for long-term residence. We also provided photovoltaic panels to reduce electricity costs.
The modular town in Mullingar also has playgrounds and playing fields to cater to the needs of its youngest residents.
Who was the modular town built for?
The modular town in Mullingar was built for families in need who come to Ireland from Ukraine and other countries. It was designed to provide families with children with safe and comfortable conditions to help them adapt to the new environment.
Modular System builds another modular town
The modular town in Mullingar is another implementation of the concept of a modular housing estate known from earlier Modular System projects, such as the Olefin III complex in Płock or the housing complex in Irpin, Ukraine.
The new project, however, uses non-standard design features and even more advanced energy management systems to guarantee the highest comfort to the residents.
